Abstract:In order to study the effect of pipe connection structure on the maintainability design, aiming at the structure of pipe for the military low bypass ratio engine and from the maintenance point of view, four pipe self-locking connection structures were studied in detail, respectively, wire thread insert, claw-type, snap ring and hook/card slot, the characteristic and the mechanism of different self-locking were analyzed. The conclusion is drawn that the torque overcomes the thread loose produced by the deformation of the screw thread structure, and achieves self-locking indirectly acting on the thread. The advantages and disadvantages of the different self-locking are compared. The selflocking pipe has the advantages of improving the maintainability and assembly significantly with the cancellation of the fuse.
